Course Description:
This one-hour course will help designers become familiar
with the strategies of marketing on a limited budget.
This will include tips on public speaking, the team
approach to referrals, Internet connections, and the
backdoor approach to getting into magazines.
Publishing of a designer's projects is one of the best
ways to get new work and to establish a national or
international identity. Participants will learn how to
package a project and create a hook that makes editors
take notice. They will also understand the importance of
working with a professional photographer and how to
minimize costs by piggybacking.
