Course Description: This one-hour course will help designers become familiar with the strategies of marketing on a limited budget. This will include tips on public speaking, the team approach to referrals, Internet connections, and the backdoor approach to getting into magazines.

Publishing of a designer's projects is one of the best ways to get new work and to establish a national or international identity. Participants will learn how to package a project and create a hook that makes editors take notice. They will also understand the importance of working with a professional photographer and how to minimize costs by piggybacking.
