Kitchen and Bath Designer, July 2004
In this issue, Randall Whitehead discusses state- of-the-art lighting
equipment and illustrates proven techniques with examples
from his own portfolio.
"Just as music in films is most
successful when it's not consciously noticed by the
filmgoer, properly designed lighting is often most effective
when it's least obtrusive," says Randall. His passion for
great lighting has led him not only to design lighting for
multitudes of residential and commercial projects, but to
develop an expertise as a lecturer and book author. "Today
lighting designers keep the emphasis on people and their
environment through the use of unobtrusive fixtures and
light sources," says Randall. This article is a "heads up" on
what's new and necessary in a good kitchen and bath lighting
system, accompanied by photos of successful techniques
applied to real-life installations.
