This lighting design show is currently in the concept stage. It's currently planned as a 15 episode series that deals with home and garden lighting in a funny and informative way. Host Randall Whitehead looks at aspects of lighting in all areas of the home, provides helpful tips for both remodel projects and new construction, and updates viewers on the latest lighting products.

Lighten Up! is a thirty minute, high energy "how-to" show that focuses on how lighting can transform your home and your life. From quick fixes to pull-out-all-the-stops makeover projects, Randall shows viewers fun, informative, and surprising ways to better illuminate and improve their living spaces. Lighten Up! is consistent with the trend in shows like Extreme Makeover, with the added advantage that lighting makeovers don't have to be extreme or expensive to show dramatic (and emotionally transforming) results. Lighten Up! shows viewers on how easy and beneficial it is to bring a little more light into their lives.
