Recessed adjustable fixtures highlight furniture and art. Uplights located behind the two ficus trees cast a soft shadow pattern onto the ceiling. Linear uplighting, mounted above the cove detail provides ambient illumination.

The other side of the room shows the dining area. An over scale paper pendant fixture by Ingo Maurer helps create a draw to the dining table. A reflector bulb in the center of the fixture illuminates the yellow art glass bowl in the center of the table. Having a schematic idea of the furniture layout will help refine the lighting locations. Empty rooms are the hardest to light.

Three red pendant fixtures by Leucos throw an intriguing glow of red light onto the ceiling, while providing a white light for the counter top. Indirect lighting by Lucifer Lighting, mounted on top of the cantilever, adds a warm overall glow.

The bedroom uses torchieres to provide much needed ambient illumination. Recessed fixtures over the bed are pinpointed so that one person can read while the other sleeps comfortably, similar to the setup in airliners.
